For those who are unfamiliar with the innovation of SUBARU BOXER technology; instead of a vertical in-line formation like the traditional four cylinder engine, SUBARU BOXER engines feature their cylinders placed in a horizontal formation, facing away from one another. The engine is then mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission and delivers power to all four wheels thanks to standard symmetrical all wheel drive.
